Quad Cup
The Quad Cup was presented by Terry Murray to be contested for annually by four local clubs that he was closely associated with: Tall Pines, Weston-super-Mare, Isle of Wedmore and Brean.
Brean have dominated in recent years, winning 6 in a row.
The format:
- Each team is made up of 11 amateur club members and one club professional (if available, who's handicap will be 0)
- Each pair contests 4BBB handicap match play against a pair from one of the other 3 clubs (2 matches against each club)
- All matches are played through 18 holes, with the result being the number of holes up/down or tied
- One point for a win and half a point for a tie
- The winning club is the one with the most points, with ties broken by the total number of holes up/down
